My friend Brian wrote on my wall earlier today and linked me to fuckyeahskinnybitch on tumblr. I hardly ever go on tumblr (even though I have an account :/) but I definitely got a surprise when I was greeted with this:

I'm definitely flattered but I never really considered myself that skinny, just average. It was a definite ego booster though :)

In other news I got my material for my prom dress, now I just need to get my sister Heather to draft it. She's coming out with a line by the end of June hopefully so it should be exciting! Brian is taking the photo's, he is just so great. You can check out his website here.

I was also contacted to have my photo's used for this Chinese magazine through lookbook, which is pretty cool. I don't really know if that's going anywhere though - I'll keep you posted!

i didn't realize i was so desirable. first connor, then tariq, then antoine and then douglas. all of whom i would absolutely love to go to prom with. it makes me feel slightly skanky though.

i think i'm going to wear a dress i already have, but i really want some black strappy plaforms to go with. i can't seem to find good CHEAP ones, but net-a-porter has a few :(

i don't know why i dislike sewing so much now. it used to be far more enjoyable.
I made this when I was 14, end of grade nine i think. i'm surprised i still fit it, it's a bit of a squeeze and since i have such a long torso it's pretty constraining but i love it.

Elizabeth & James is the Olsen twins clothing line, for those who don't know. I wasn't particularly blown away by what I saw, but maybe that's shopbob's fault for putting together the outfits. I did really like some pieces though.

I liked the back of this dress but the front... well, I don't know.

This dress is adorable. I always love love love little black dresses.

And this dress is just so nice and simple. The blue and black go so well together and I really like the pleating and the sort of a-symmetrical cut of it.

So... definitely didn't get the job. That sucks. Anyways, taking care of Grace last night was interesting. I haven't been to Toronto Islands in forever, though I think the horde of teenagers bothered the locals. I asked a cop for directions which I think was a mistake since he asked if there was going to be a party. I really don't think sometimes. Took the ferry with my whole entire school and then some to Wards and quickly saw that the coast guards were on to us. Of course, their territory is the water, they can't do anything on land... Last ride home left at 11:30 and Grace almost went overboard, deciding to climb the railing. Getting home was an adventure, especially since Brittney and I carried Grace most of the way. She's so cute when she's drunk "I promise you guys I'll make you breakfast". And she still hasn't :

Still not home yet! I think I missed out on grocery shopping. Bummer :( But actually.

So I had my interview and it was... alright I guess. I just get so nervous when I'm put on the spot and plus, it was a group interview with people from Holts and what not. I felt so underqualified :( But this guy who works there told me to stand out in my interview which I think I did. Well, mainly because I didn't really know what to say but I think I came across a lot more laid back than the other applicants. However, I have no idea how many group interviews they hold.

There are three stages and the next is a call-back. Let's hope I get it!

I need money for prom... Oh and a date. Any takers?

I absolutely cannot stand some of my teachers. My parents have long ago decided to get into the routine of saying "You're always going to run into people you don't get along with Lindsay, just stick through it". Granted, if this was a one time thing I would get it but I've done a lot of sticking through. I've gone through bad teachers who told me I needed professional help, piano instructors that were fairly creepy and forced friendships that always ended with me in tears (circa '96?). And the only time either of my parents admitted their method was wrong was with the latter.

I hate day one period four classes. Vocal is my major, I should enjoy the class but I don't. I swear, some days it's like she has a personal vendetta against me. I'll admit I'm not the best student but I still believe she should respect me or, at the very least, not take her stress out on her class.

Three more months. Three more months. Three more months!

Things would be so much easier if I had laser vision.
